It's Not Just Business, It's Personal.
Agricultural and equestrian steel barns built to withstand Florida weather. Free delivery and installation in Melrose, Putnam County.
Melrose was founded in 1877 on a 30-block site platted on the southeast shore of Lake Santa Fe, and became a quiet Victorian-era retreat after the citrus economy collapsed in the 1890s. The historic core — 72 buildings across 250 acres — is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, while the surrounding area is rural, lake-lot property. Note that Melrose also has separate pages in Clay, Alachua, and Bradford counties, since the community straddles four county lines; this page covers the Putnam County side.
Lakefront property on Lake Santa Fe drives a lot of our Melrose business toward boat and dock storage as much as vehicle protection, and the historic district's architecture means some in-town lots carry aesthetic expectations that don't apply out on the surrounding rural acreage. We place buildings with that distinction in mind — more discreet siting near the historic core, more straightforward placement on the open lake-lot parcels further out toward Interlachen or Hollister.
